Janet L. Acorn, 78, worked at Center
Janet L. Acorn of 140 Melbourne Road, Pittsfield, Mass., a former Ridgefielder, died Sunday, July 1, at her home. She was 78 years old.
Born in Springfield, Mass., on Feb. 8, 1923 Mrs. Acorn was the daughter of the late Paul and Catherine MacLaren Langlois. She was educated in Springfield schools and was a graduate of Classical High School in Springfield.
Mrs. Acorn moved to Ridgefield in 1984 and worked at the Community Center. She was also an active member of PEO.
She was the wife of the late Albert H. Acorn III whom she married in 1946. He died on Feb. 18, 1979.
Mrs. Acorn is survived by a son, David P. Acorn of Bedford Hills, N.Y., and a daughter, Catherine A. Righi and her husband, attorney Alan Righi, both of Pittsfield. She also leaves three grandchildren, Thomas J.C. Righi and his wife Sheri A. Righi, both of Avon, and Kate E. Righi and Daniel C. Righi, both of Pittsfield.
Private funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family.
