Yolanda Anderson, longtime resident

Yolanda A. Anderson, a former Western Union operator and longtime Ridgefielder, died at The Kent Specialty Care Home Saturday, Nov. 30, in Kent, Conn. She was 77 years old and the wife of Rodney Anderson.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Beaver Falls, Pa., Aug. 5, 1925, the daughter of Battista and Angelina Gusseti Annoni. Her family moved to Bethel where she was educated, graduating from high school in 1944.
In her early years she worked as an operator for Western Union.
She married Rodney A. Anderson in Bethel on Jan. 24, 1948. They lived in Ridgefield and summered in Rochester, Vt.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ridgefield.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and visiting Vermont.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Anderson is survived by a son: James B. Anderson of Ridgefield; two daughters: Cynthia Serra of Sebastian, Fla., and Sandra Anderson Howell of Danbury; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Rochester, Vt.
