Dale J. Bertalovitz, 60, pastor

Dale J. Bertalovitz of Danbury, a former pastor here, died Sunday, Sept. 30, at Danbury Hospital. He was 60 years old and the husband of Ruthann (Miller) Bertalovitz.
Mr. Bertalovitz was born Sept. 23, 1941 in Carmel, N.Y., and graduated from Henry Abbott Technical School in 1958. He worked as a Danbury Parking Authority officer. He also was the senior pastor of the Heritage Bible Church on Pembroke Road in Danbury, and in the early 1990s was pastor of the New England Heritage Baptist Church, which met at 590 Danbury Road.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his children: Jeanine Frederick and her husband Robert, Dalanne Teseny and her husband Harold; and loving grandchildren, Eric, Lauren and Adam, all of Danbury. Also, his sister-in-law, Helen Bertalovitz of Ridgefield and several nieces and nephews. His brother, Gary Bertalovitz of Ridgefield, died in November 1999.
Services will take place at the Heritage Bible Church, 101 E. Pembroke Road, Danbury on Thursday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
