Anne Rose Brady, 72, homemaker
Anne Rose Brady of Keeler Drive, a homemaker who had lived here for two years, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Danbury Hospital. She was 72 years old and the widow of William Brady.
A native of the Bronx, N.Y., Mrs. Brady was born on May 25, 1929, the daughter of Casper and Anna Kramer. She grew up in the Bronx and had lived in Carmel, N.Y., for 30 years before moving to Ridgefield in 1999.
Mrs. Brady had been a homemaker, but had also worked for the Putnam County Office for the Aging, retiring in 1994.
She enjoyed traveling and playing cards. She was also an avid cheerleader for her grandchildren at baseball, said her daughter-in-law, Louise Brady.
Mrs. Brady was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Church.
Her survivors include a son: Patrick and his wife, Louise, with whom she had made her home; a daughter: Annemarie Averill and her husband, Albert, of Montague, Mass.; and five grandchildren, including Shane, Harrison and Luke Brady.
Services took place Monday, Aug. 20, at St. James Church in Carmel. Burial was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, N.Y.
