Fred E. Bryant, 30-year resident

Fred E. Bryant of Ned’s Mountain Road died on Tuesday, July 24, at Danbury Hospital. He was 72.
Mr. Bryant was the husband of the late Jo Ann (Bledsoe) Bryant, who died Feb. 2, 2001.
Mr. Bryant was born in Poland, Ohio, July 17, 1929, a son of the late Red and Gladys (Vaughn) Bryant. He attended Ohio schools and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
A resident of Ridgefield for the past 30 years coming from Austintown, Ohio, Mr. Bryant was vice-president of field services for Magnetic Analysis of Mount Vernon, N.Y. He was a member of the Republican Town Committee of Ridgefield.
He is survived by two sons, Robert E. Bryant of Ridgefield and Thomas Bryant of Wethersfield; a daughter Cheryl Gieseke of Houston, Texas; a sister, Mary Alice Scarcella of Campbell, Ohio, and eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The Kane Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
