Evo Fronzi, 88, native of Italy
Evo Fronzi of 8 North Salem Road, a native of Italy and a longtime Ridgefielder, died Sunday evening, March 18, at his home. He was 88 years old and the husband of the late Maria Faccenda Fronzi.
Mr. Fronzi was born in Ripe, Province of Ancona, Italy, on May 8, 1912, a son of the late Ferdinando and Albina Girolametti Fronzi. He attended schools in Italy and came to the United States in 1954 and had lived in the area ever since.
Mr. Fronzi was a retired construction worker for the Morganti Construction Company of Ridgefield.
He enjoyed gardening and traveling to Italy where he summered for many years with his family in his home village of Ripe.
Mr. Fronzi was a member of the Italian American Mutual Aid Society, the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers and of St. Marys Church.
He is survived by a son, Aldo Fronzi of Danbury; three daughters, Giselda Fronzi, Fernanda Fronzi and Nara Parascondola, all of Ridgefield; a grandson, a great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Robert P. Morrissey celebrated a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday in St. Marys Church. Burial followed in St. Marys Cemetery.
