Since the spring of 2000, The Ridgefield Press has been placing online the obituaries of all residents and former residents that have been published in the paper. Obituaries from mid-2000 until mid-2005 can be found here, free of charge. After that, all obituaries that appeared in The Press are available through our "Archives" feature on our Web site at a fee of $2.95 each. Also available online is an index of virtually all obituaries and death notices that appeared in The Press between 1875 and 1999. To obtain a photocopy of an obituary as it appeared in The Press, follow the instructions instructions found on the Obituary Index page. Note: While many newspapers today charge sizable fees for obituaries, The Ridgefield Press does not charge to place an obituary in its newspaper. |
